Without any exageration this gun is in almost 100 % unused uncarried condition and except for the most minor mark on the stock exactly like it was when it left New Haven 57 yrs ago. Unless NIB you will not find a better one anywhere. Rare and hard to find factory carbine in 284.
These handy woods carbines were produced from 1967 to 1973, this one is a first year production.
Although the condition of this one is collector these are among the finest woods deer rifles; with overall lenght of only about 39" with factory 18' barrel and the firepower of a modern cal (these were also produced in 308 and 243) short fast carbine lenght, and the ability to have fast follow up 2d or 3d shots without taking one's eye from the sight or scope picture to prevent lost or wounded game.
