"Inscribed Winchester 1866 Rifle 44 RF (AW199)

Description:
"Serial number 119058. Made in 1874. 44 Rimfire caliber with a 24" barrel.. Gun shows good use and looks to have a life out west. Butt stock of the gun is carved with ""J.D. Chandler/1884"". Our preliminary research shows there was a J. D. Chandler living in Montague County Texas in the 1880 census who was a farmer. Gun has a brown patina on the metal. The frame has turned dark rich mustard colored patina that is exactly how you like to find them. Wood shows use. Gun is in complete working order. Nice piece that has potential to have some interesting history!
