Description:
Standard 20 inch carbine configuration chambered in 44 RF caliber. Bore is dark with scattered roughness and pitting. Sights include a blade front that is integral to the barrel band and a folding two-leaf rear. Winchester barrel address is visible. Barrel and full length magazine tube are a mottled gray/brown patina. Brass receiver has aged to a smooth light mustard patina. Hammer and lever are mostly brown with some gray. Loading gate has traces of fire blue. Original saddle ring has been removed. Smooth functioning action. Walnut stock set fit well with some scattered minor dings and scratches. 3-Piece cleaning rod is present in the stock compartment. Brass carbine buttplate matches the receiver. An honest looking survivor from the western cowboy era. This carbine was made in 1875 and shipped in 1876.
