Winchester model 1873 third model lever action rifle caliber.44-40. Manufactured in 1884. Bore is excellent, strong rifling and bright in the grooves. Round barrel,24" length. The action works perfectly and smoothly. The receiver has approximately 90% blue. The barrel has about 95% of a light patina finish with some blue in protected areas. The stocks are solid with no chips or cracks or abuse, just scattered light marks from handling . The buttplate has good blue and the butt trap has a four piece cleaning rod assembly ,original factory assembly. Not a repro. This is a very good and well kept rifle. From an old Kansas collection.
