44 WCF caliber 2nd Model 1873. The whole gun has been cleaned and only has traces of original blue in the protected areas. The rifle’s special order features include a 26 inch round barrel and a shotgun butt. Bore is good with strong rifling and moderate pitting throughout. Forearm has a crack on each side in front of the receiver. Otherwise wood is sound. Action is crisp, and with the good bore, this would be a good shooter for cowboy reenactment shooting, or just all around fun. Still collectable with the rare features. An early gun made in 1882. Includes factory letter.
