Description:
20 inch round barrel with a fair-good bore showing moderate pitting throughout with fairly decent rifling. Full magazine. The metal surfaces have been cleaned to a bright gray patina leaving traces of original finish in protected areas and scattered areas of light to moderate pitting here and there. There is a 1-1/2” V-shaped scratch on the left side cover. The front sight has been worked over and shows some added material and period replacement Winchester adjustable leaf rifle rear sight. Straight grip walnut stock and forearm rate about very good showing some wear to the finish and overall handling marks with the initials “HLS” carved in the left side of the wrist.
