FACTORY ENGRAVED DELUXE 2ND MODEL 1873 WINCHESTER RIFLE

Description:
44 WCF caliber. 24 inch octagon barrel with full mag and crescent butt. Beech’s combination front sight with standard rear sight. Receiver is engraved with a scroll/floral motif and has vignette of a running deer on left side plate. Elevator has a small scroll motif. Barrel and magazine tube are a silver-gray patina overall. Receiver has a dark brown patina. Bore is not so good. Dark with light rifling. Set trigger does not work. Hammer does not stay on half cock. Trigger needs repair to make it work properly. The checkering on the wood is visible, but very worn. XXX wood is dark brown and very sun-dried and checked. Also a little shy at the wrist area. A Deluxe Winchester made in 1882 that saw a lot of hard use on the frontier. This one didn't sit in a closet, it got used!
