PRESENTATION WINCHESTER 1873
Description:
The side cover has an inscription "Presented to Chas L. Beatty". There is several pieces of paper with some history of Mr. Beatty and old West history that come with this gun. A decent looking 1873. Somewhat early gun in 150k serial range. Nice smooth metal on the receiver with some blue remaining and the balance a pleasing aged color. Bbl has some wear and is mostly a grey/brown. Nice markings. Cal 32. Bore has decent rifling with some roughness and could use a good cleaning. The sights are a standard Winchester rear, flip globe front and desirable "popsickle stick" tang sight. A cool rare sight. Wood is VG cond and nice fitting both on the buttstock and forearm. Decent Winchester with some interesting history.
