Special Order Button Magazine 1873 Winchester SRC - 1891

Description:

Factory letter confirms this SRC left the factory on July 29, 1891 as a 38WCF SRC with button half mag. It is a standard 20" barrel. You never, ever see special order 73 Carbines, they just dont show up. This is a pretty clean example That is basically a smooth clean patina with excellent dark grained walnut stock. Carbine ladder rear sight. , a fairly clean bore with strong lands. Loading gate retains most of the fire blue finish. Clean little special order carbine.
