SPECIAL ORDER DELUXE WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 RIFLE IN 38 WCF

Description:
Special order Second Model with 24 inch 1/2 octagon barrel chambered in 38 WCF caliber with a good bore that has visible rifling and a few scattered spots of roughness. Barrel and half length magazine are a gray/brown patina. Sights include a German silver blade front and sporting rear. Casehardened receiver is a mottled gray/brown. Loading gate has traces of fire blue. Hammer is gray and the lever is brown. Has the improved dust cover which slides on a center rail on top of the frame which is held in place by two screws. Crisp functioning action. Checkered deluxe walnut pistolgrip stock and checkered forearm have scattered minor dings and crisp refreshed checkering. Shotgun buttplate. A nice example of a Winchester that was quite spectacular when it was new in 1882. Comes with a factory letter stating the configuration.
