SPECIAL ORDER HALF NICKEL WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 CHECKERED PISTOL GRIP RIFLE CHAMBERED FOR 22 SHORT

Description:
24 inch octagon barrel shows about 70% blued finish with wear and handling marks. The bore is about good showing light roughness with visible rifling throughout. Original sights include No. 21 Sporting front with Nickel Silver insert and No. 22 Sporting rear. The receiver, forearm end cap and crescent rifle butt plate show about 70% original nickel finish. The hammer shows fair amount of darkening case coloring with the lever showing just faint traces. Full length magazine shows about 60% thinning finish turning brown. Solid action is crisp and tight. Plain walnut checkered pistol grip stocks are solid and full fitting with limited light handling marks and the checkering showing light wear. Manufactured in 1891. Complete with factory letter. Sure to fill a hole in your Winchester Model 1873 collection.
