SPECIAL ORDER WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 RIFLE IN 44 WCF

Description:
24 inch round barrel chambered in 44 WCF caliber with a shiny bore with strong rifling and a few scattered pits. Sights include a Beech's combination front and flattop sporting rear with a thick base folding tang. Barrel is mostly a brown patina with traces of original blue in the protected areas. Special order half length magazine and case colored receiver has traces of colors in the protected areas around the side plates with the balance fading to a gray/brown patina. Good traces of case colors on the hammer and lever. About 50% blue on the loading gate. Crisp functioning action. Walnut stock set has been sanded and refinished with some handling. Rifle style buttplate with no cleaning rod in the trapdoor. This Winchester rifle was made in 1889.
