SPECIAL ORDER WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 WITH 28 INCH EXTRA HEAVY BARREL IN 44 WCF

Description:
Special order 28 inch extra heavy octagon barrel chambered in 44 WCF caliber with a bore that has visible rifling and some scattered roughness. Sights include a German silver knife blade front and sporting rear. Barrel and full length magazine tube are a chocolate brown patina. Receiver is a brown/gray. Hammer and lever are also about the same as the receiver. Loading gate is a blue/gray. Smooth functioning action. Special order Set Trigger needs adjustment. Walnut stock set is in good condition with some handling and usage marks. Rifle style buttplate with no cleaning rod in the trapdoor. Extra length barrels are hard find on 1873 rifles as are heavy weight barrels. But an extra length heavy doesn't come along very often. This Winchester rifle that was made in 1890 is sure to fill a hole in someones collection. Comes with a Cody Research Form verifying configuration and manufacture date.
