Description:
24 inch octagon barrel. Original sporting front with with nickel silver blade and short tang sporting rear. Full length tube magazine. Set trigger. Plain walnut forearm and matching straight grip buttstock fitted with a smooth steel shotgun style buttplate. Shotgun style butts were the standard on second model 1873’s chambered in 38 WCF until shortly after serial number 100,000. Condition is excellent overall with the barrel and magazine showing 90% original blue. Excellent bore is bright and shiny with decent rifling. The receiver has about 70% original blue with a couple areas showing harsh cleaning. The stocks are solid and full fitting showing typical wear and handling marks. Comes with a factory letter.
