Description:
30 inch octagon barrel. Caliber 44-40. Cody Research Form states octagon, 30 inch barrel, set trigger, fancy stock, case hardened and sling swivels. Gun matches the letter. Clean good looking early gun in the 37k serial range. Barrel and mag retain about 30-40% thinning original blue. Sharp corners and excellent markings. Original sights. Bore has shine with scattered light roughness throughout. Crisp tight action. Wood has about half the original varnish remaining. Typical handling mars. Rifle style buttplate. Unusual to see sling swivels on this early of a ’73. Receiver has traces of case color with the balance turning a nickel color. A great looking all original Winchester.
