This Winchester Model 1873 is a right hand lever action repeating rifle in .44-40 W.C.F. Cal. The 22 inch octagon barrel has been cut down from its original length. It has a short front blade sight and an adjustable notch middle sight. The stock is a smooth walnut straight grip with a steel crescent that has a brass sliding door storage compartment. It has an iron frame with sideplates and case hardened parts. The receiver also has a sliding top cover. There is a crack in the forearm bottom. Manufactured in 1892.
