Description:
The Winchester 1873, also known as "The Gun that won the West", was perhaps the most successful lever action rifles of its time, being sold in its original configuration until 1923. This example made in 1891 is in good overall condition, with a moderate level of finish wear and some fairly deep scratches in the stocks as well as a crack in the forend. Mechanical condition seems to be very good, with a clean bore that has only a few small pits near the muzzle, the only mechanical fault is that the detent for the dust cover is non functional.
