Winchester 1873 Carbine 4 Digit First Model

Description:
This is a superclean First Model 73' carbine, with a 4 digit ( #86XX) serial number. It has a fabulous original thumbprint dust cover. It includes its original cleaning rods in the buttstock. The metal has a beautiful even patina with considerable original blue showing through. The 44-40 caliber action is crisp, functions smoothly and and barrel has a nice bore that rates close to a 9. The wood fits very nicely to the metal, and is a rich medium color. It shows a great untouched out of the closet look. A rare and super nice first model.
