Description:
This is a first model Winchester 1873 with a thumbprint milled dust cover. The gun was made in 1879. The metal has been re-blued and someone did a good job. The wood has been sanded and hand checkered someone did not do a good job, there are 2 screws missing from the butt plate and the main screw (rear tang) is a carriage bolt. The rifle functions well and the bore is good but not great. All in all not a bad rifle for the money.This is an Antuque and can (in most cases) be shipped to your home address.
