Winchester 1873 in 44 w/26” octagon and 1 of 1000 engraved on barrel

I have a very interested Winchester mod 1873 in .44 with a 26" octagon barrel and 1 of 1000 engraved on the barrel. The story on this 73 goes back to the movie Winchester 73 starring James Stewart. In the late 1940's in Hollywood the movie "Winchester 73" was in production and the word spread that the producer was looking for any real 1 of 1000's for the movie/purchase. Someone tried to sell this 73 with a failed sad attempt of 1 of 1000 engraved on the barrel. Well it seems Hollywood was alot smarter back in the 40/50's era than today. None the less it is a good strong winchester with a good looking bore 7/10, smooth action, and all original walnut wood in 44 caliber. The serial number is almost impossible to make out but appears to be a 5 digit number starting with 8xxxx
