Description:
Winchester SRC ( S# 182XXX) : special order crescent butt. Is the only 73 SRC I have seen with this special order I bought it some 25 years ago because of the unusual butt plate. Lots of use but little abuse. Bore has bright lands with good profile and light frosting in grooves front to rear but no pits. It should still be very accurate. Wood has perfect fit - no cracks or damage but many moderate handling marks and a couple of 'dents'. Picture tell the story. ALL metal is smooth with no pits rust or bad scratches or gouges or even freckling ( micro-pitting). Very clean overall with tight snappy action and strong finger Lever 'snap back'. Ladder sight is tight and very clean. Virtually little or no real bright blue finish but not brown. Kind of like supper thinning and some brightness but before actual patina or brown. All markings are sharp - all original sharp edges and shows no metal wear, scratches or dents anywhere. From what I see in the market place - it should be worth 4500 I offer a three day inspection and charge only actual cost for shipping.
