Winchester Model 1873 Carbine, .38 WCF (Winchester Center Fire) caliber, very good bore with strong rifling, needs a scrubbing. Original full-length 20" barrel, with clear Winchester address and patent date markings, "38 W.C.F." at top of breech. Original sights. Metal overall is a dark aged grey patina finish. "MODEL 1873" marking on the top tang, with the bottom tang bearing the serial #464490B, 1893 manufacture. Brass loading block marked "38 CAL" as well, worn. The wood is very good, with age handling wear and a few dings. The buttstock is a rifle stock and could very well be a special order as it matches the entire gun. Mechanics are very good. Crescent-style buttplate, with cleaning rod compartment. Original dust cover present.
