This model 1873 was mfg in 1892. The wood is nice with a chip on the right side of the forestock. The action seems to operate properly. It has the 24 inch octagonal barrel. The metal doesn't appear to have any original finish and looks to have been polished extensively. The barrel marking with the patent date is readable as is the serial number. The model writing behind the hammer is not readable and the caliber on the bottom brass plate is not readable. The caliber marking on top of the barrel is partially polished off but looks like 44 WCF. The bore shows rifling with pitting. I have not fired this gun and don't know if it is shootable. At the very least it's a nice wallhanger.
