Here is a Winchester Model 1873 in 44/40 that if it could talk, would have stories to tell. But sadly it was rode hard and put up wet. The action works very good on the firearm, with no problems on functionality. The wood took the worst of its history as did the barrel. The barrel has very little rifling or grooves left, and the wood, as you can see from the pictures have lot's of wear.
This might make a great project firearm for those interested in cowboy and western history.
