WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 RIFLE IN .44-40 CALIBER

Description:
.44-40 W.C.F. caliber, 24" full octagon barrel and full magazine. Finished blue with casehardened lever, hammer, and buttplate. Plain stocks. Sights consist of windage adjustable globe front, standard elevation barrel sight and folding tang sight. The original blade front also accompanies the rifle. In superb original condition with nearly all of the blue remaining on the barrel and receiver. The hammer and lever showing nice case colors with the buttplate patina. Mint bore. Very fine wood with some storage or handling marks. Cleaning rod is located in the butt trap. The accompaning factory letter indicates the rifle was shipped on Oct. 4, 1888.
