WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 RIFLE IN 44 WCF WITH 28 INCH BARREL

Description:
28 inch octagon barrel chambered in 44 WCF caliber with a shiny bore with strong rifling and a few scattered pits. Sights include a German silver blade front and a modified sporting rear. Barrel has thinning fading blue and the full length magazine tube is more of a gray/brown. Receiver has thinning blue and some edge wear. Faint traces of case colors on the hammer and lever. About 50% blue on the loading gate. Crisp functioning action. Walnut stock set is in good condition with some handling mars and a small gouge on the right side of the stock. Rifle style buttplate with no cleaning rod in the trapdoor.  An honest looking extra length Winchester rifle that was made in 1884.
