WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 RIFLE IN CALIBER 38-40

Description:
24 inch round barrel chambered in 38 WCF caliber with a bright shiny excellent bore. Sights include a German silver blade front and sporting rear. Barrel and full length magazine tube retain most original blue with some light scratches and a spot of pitting by the rear sight. Receiver has about 98% bright blue with vivid case colors on the hammer and lever. Strong blue on the loading gate. Walnut stock set is in VG condition with most original varnish. Towards the end of the buttstock there is some minor cracking and oil soaking at the buttplate. Complete with Factory Letter stating mentioned features and 1892 manufacture date. The early 3rd Model's in 38-40 had a standard shotgun butt so that is not listed.
