Description:
Winchester Model 1873 Saddle Ring Carbine 44-40 cal Bore Gd has rifling with some fine pitting, Mech VG works well. Wood VG with good fit to metal and the buttplate is a rifle style plate sometimes ordered that way. Has a original 20” Rd barrel with VG Winchester address and patent date markings and 44 WCF markings. The receiver has the Model 1873 marking on the top tang. Saddle ring and stud on the left side and the lower tang has the serial#389693 Mfg’d 1891 the dust cover is missing. And the rear sight is an insert type buck horn style. Metal overall has a dark aged brown patina finish and has some fine pitting in areas.
