This is a very nice clean Winchester Model 1873 third model rifle with special order 26" octagon barrel & full magazine.
.38 WCF
This rifle has not been fooled with and still has a large percentage of original factory finishes both wood and metal. Much nice bright factory blue on receiver. Blue on bbl & mag very nice but thinning. Wood still proud, not sanded, no cracks or holes. Near perfect screws. Beech front flip sight.
Smooth, tight mechanical operation.
Original Winchester 4 piece cleaning rod in butt. Nice bright bore with prominent lands & grooves.
Winchester factory letter shows this rifle being shipped in 1903. Many more pix on my site.
