Description:
20 inch round barrel carbine configuration chambered in the desirable 44 WCF caliber. Bore has shine with good rifling and some scattered light roughness. Barrel and full length magazine tube are mostly a brown/gray. Sights include a barleycorn front and folding ladder carbine rear. Receiver is a plum/brown color with some light pitting on the right sideplate. Probably from poor storage. Loading gate is a blue/gray. Hammer and lever have traces of case colors with the balance turning gray. Crisp action. Walnut forearm and buttstock have a little bit of extra figure to it and some handling mars with a carbine style buttplate. Manufactured in 1891. A good example of the gun that won the west!
