#4772 Winchester 1873 OBFMCB, 44WCF with only a fair bore
Description:
#4772 Winchester 1873 OBFMCB, 44WCF with a fair bore (about a 5-6 on a scale of 10, having some average wear, scattered pitting and scale the full length of the bore, but still looking like it might spin a bullet well and has a smooth tight action. Serial numbered in the 136XXX range (1883). The exterior of this rifle has a very smooth brown patina with some FAINT traces of plummed-blue around the sideplates and protected areas. The metal overall is otherwise crisp-edged and devoid of any serious pitting, damage, or blemishes. The buttstock and forearm are average with no serious chips or slivers but the forearm has several dings and the stock has a solid crack at the toe. About VG overall. Standard semi-buckhorn rear sight and standard “pinched blade” front sight. Nothing rare or wonderful, but this is just a decent above average original 135 year old Winnie in slightly better-than-average overall condition. About VG as described. $1675
