Description:
#4939 Winchester 1873 OBFMCB standard 24” barrel length and trigger, 38WCF, 3rd Variation, 213XXX(1886) serial range, smooth tight action, about a 7 bore on a scale of 10. This rifle has had a very, VERY fine older refinish on far above average metal. The edges are sharp and all the markings are VG with the exception of the brass elevator caliber marking which is weak. It retains about 95% coverage of a 80% density blue and the original wood is very fine but does show some very slight undersizing from wear and of use, but no serious detriments. Nothing special, but a great overall appearance and far, FAR better than the usual no-finish ’73 in this price range. Open buckhorn rear sight and Winchester “pinched blade” front sight.. About Excellent as refinished. $2425
