Only 1,797 Model 1876 rifles with 26 inch octagon barrels were chambered in 45-60 WCF caliber. And this one also has a set trigger that works. Good bore with light roughness. Barrel has a few spots of surface pitting. As does the receiver. All metal surfaces are a mottled plum/gray/silver color with some good traces of original blue in the protected areas. Crisp action. Original sights. Wood is good fitting and has the usual handling mars of a rifle from 1883. Should still be a good shooter.
