VERY EARLY WINCHESTER MODEL 1876 OPEN TOP RIFLE
Description: 45-75 caliber 28 inch full octagon barrel and full length mag tube. It has a rifle style buttplate. Original sights include the 76 folding ladder rear sight and correct front sight with replacement ivory insert. Bore is a little dark and would benefit from a good cleaning. Wood has a few handling mars but is sound and has good traces of original finish. Metal is very nice with sharp corners and excellent markings. There is traces of blue in protected areas with the balance turning a plum/brown. Gun was made in the 5k serial range. Comes complete with Factory Letter.
