WINCHESTER MODEL 1876 RIFLE IN 40-60 WCF
Description:
Only 1,823 Model 1876 rifles with 28 inch round barrels were chambered in 40-60 WCF caliber. Bore has shine to it but also has a ring about 3 inches from the muzzle. Combination front sight is missing the top half of the ring. Replacement leaf rear sight has a broken leaf. This is basically a brown gun. All metal surfaces are a plum/brown patina. Lever is brown but the hammer retains traces of case color. The stock is good with nicks and dings consistent with its 1883 age. There is an indentation on the right side of the buttstock above the lever. Mechanically good. This would make a good representative 1876 Winchester.
