Winchester Model 1876 lever action rifle chambered in .45-60 Winchester. The serial number (6530) suggests that it was produced in 1878. Subsequently shipped to England in 1879 and assumed to be professionally modified by J. Rigby & Co. by shortening the barrel and magazine tube. British proofs appear on barrel and receiver. Comes with a Winchester factory letter stating the rifle was received in the warehouse on 4 November 1878 and shipped on 31 December 1879 and a Cody Museum letter stating the rifle was received in the warehouse on 4 November 1879 and shipped on 31 December 1879. .45-75 Winchester
