Antique Winchester Model 1885 Low Wall .22 Short 24" Rifle with Cody Letter
Description: ****SOLD **** For Sale is an Antique Winchester Model 1885 Low Wall rifle chambered in .22 Short. It features a 24" round barrel in #1 weight, plain trigger and straight stock with crescent buttplate. The serial number was applied November 11th, 1890. It was received in the warehouse and shipped on December 2nd, 1890. A Cody Firearms Museum letter will accompany this rifle. The bluing is nice and even with a little fading. The colors on the sides are dim with the top, bottom & lever being brighter. The stocks are in excellent condition and have a nice medium brown tone with a straight grain. They fit tight to the frame with no breaks, checks or scratches present. The bore shows good rifling but there is some wear thoughout. Overall, this is a nice looking piece that letters correctly.
