You heard it right--a smooth bore in 50-EX. This is verified by a Winchester Letter that states "50/110 Express, 20" No. 2 round bbl and smooth bore". Very few high wall's were made in 50 cal and in a smooth bore, likely only a handful if that. Add to that uniqueness, this rifle also has a very good bore. A good looking rifle with your normal aged color. Mostly a medium to light brown/grey aging patina. Nice smooth metal. Good fitting wood. Winchester Letter accompanies this gun.
