WINCHESTER 1885 HIGH WALL CUSTOM MADE BY A. W. PETERSON IN CALIBER 38-55

Description:
30 inch heavy weight barrel with a bright shiny bore. Sights include a Lyman short to mid-range Vernier tang peep sight and a windgauge globe front sight with spirit level. Also a pair of mounting blocks are on the barrel. Features close fit double set triggers that seem to function properly. Barrel has a good amount of blue/brown finish remaining. The receiver has most original blue with some edge wear and light scratches. Peterson also stocked the rifle with checkered pistol grip walnut and added a palm rest. Wood is in very good condition with most original varnish remaining. Fitted with a Helm buttplate. Nice target rifle from a well-known custom shop out of Denver Colorado.
