About Us: I have collected interesting firearms for about 60 years, and am a Benefactor/Life NRA member. I feel that it is now time to start selling a few things. Winchester 1885 Limited Series BPCA Target Rifle, Caliber 45-70
Description: Beautiful BPCA Winchester 1885 Limited Series Target Rifle in 45-70 Govt. Chambering. Winchester produced these 1885 BPCA rifles in 2009-2010 I believe. The first one I saw was at the Shot Show. It is very similar to the Browning 1885, but has a polished barrel and case colored receiver, lever, buttpalte and grip cap. The Barrel is half round, half octagon. The Winchester 1885 BPCA rifle came without sights and the original owner had "The Riflesmith" sights installed. These look to be high quality sights. The front sight is windage adjustable and has a spirit level. The rear sight is a long range sight, adjustable for windage and elevation, and has a upgraded eyecup with several aperature sizes. I believe that The Riflesmith went out of business and was bought by Axtell, in Sheridan, Wyoming.This rifle is in excellent condition and had seen very little use. It has a nicely figured, checkered walnut stock with a low gloss finish that looks great with the bright bluing of the barrel and case coloring of the receiver. The bore looks perfect, although a little dusty, and the recessed crown is nice and crisp with no dings. The rifle comes with a hard case, owners manual, sight information, and extra parts for the sights. Please look closely at the pictures, they tell the story. Thanks for looking! RETURN POLICY- All firearms come with a 3-day non firing, no-tinkering with (turning screws, taking apart, removing parts, scoping. firing, cleaning or altering in any way) inspection/return privilege. Inspection is based on a visual review of the firearm to confirm that it is in the condition stated.
