WINCHESTER MODEL 1885 HIGH WALL DELUXE PISTOL GRIP RIFLE CHAMBERED IN 32-40

Description:
30 inch No. 3 octagon barrel shows about 90% deep dark blue with a couple small areas of light oxidation. Near excellent bore that is bright and shiny with strong rifling. Sights include a wind gauge globe front with a sporting rear and  mid-range vernier aperture sight on the tang. The receiver shows  about 80% color case hardened finish. Checkered pistol grip deluxe walnut stocks feature ebony inserts on the tip of the forearm and bottom of the pistol grip. Wood surfaces show a coat of finish added long ago having typical wear and handling marks with the bottom of the forearm showing an oval impression with two screws leftover from a since removed palm rest mount. Equipped with adjustable single set trigger and a nickel plated brass Swiss style butt plate. Manufactured in 1893.
