#3883 Winchester 1886 OBFMCB 26”x45/70 with fine bore
Description: #3883 Winchester 1886 OBFMCB 26”x45/70 with fine bore (8+ on a scale of 10) and solid, crisp, tight action. Manufactured in the second year of production (#84XX) and being in much above the average condition for a 132 year old rifle!! Obviously this gun was VERY well cared for and not used much. The metal and wood is almost completely devoid of any rust, pitting, wood slivers, or any other mentionable damage, just a few very LIGHT bumps. The barrel edges are crisp, as are all the markings and the finish is now a soft thin brownish-grey overall (being slightly lighter on the frame). Standard trigger and standard medium buckhorn and “pinched blade” barrel sights. You will waste a LOT of gasoline going to gun show after gun show to find as nice of an ’86 as this old shoulder thumper is, and with having a nice popular big caliber bore.
