Description: 1886 .45-70 TAKEDOWN EXTRA LIGHTWEIGHT RILE, MADE 1909, excellent blue on the correct 22” barrel shows only the most minor of freckling that you’d have to look closely to find, receiver shows exc. deep blue on the bolt, right side retains fine blue with some thinning from handling above the loading gate and on the low forward part as well as underneath, left side shows about a third good blue with the balance a little stained and thinning with some very light evidence of some scattered surface rust that was wiped off with an oilcloth only- minor, exc. butt stock and forend with correct exc. Winchester embossed shotgun butt plate, tight wood to metal fit, bright bore, correct Lyman tang sight and two leaf folding barrel sight, tight takedown and tight action, excellent screws, a very desirable ’86 in nice condition.
