Antique Winchester 1886 45-70 26" rifle
Description:
This is a nice Winchester 1886 .45-70 rifle with a 26" octagon barrel. The bore and chamber are like new with strong rifleing and no pitting. The receiver still show traces of it's original color case finish throughout. The barrel and magazine tube are a faded blue with some dings and scratches. The crescent buttplate has turned a brown patina. The forearm has a crack on the right side at the cap, a 2" gouge on the bottom and two noticeable 3/4" dents near the receiver. The buttstock a few dings and scratches with two noticeable dents right side near the top tang. It appears that a dark coating has been applied over the the wood covering the dents and scratches. The action is smooth and tight and functions as designed. Shipping will be by UPS ground with insurance and tracking.
