ANTIQUE WINCHESTER 1886 RIFLE IN 50 EXPRESS CALIBER
Description: This special order rifle with 26 inch round barrel chambered in the scarce 50-110 WCF caliber features a 1/2 Mag and Sling Swivels with crescent style butt plate. This is a fine example of a scarce rifle as only 2,455 were made in this caliber. Most all original blue remains on the barrel with some scattered scratches and small spots of discoloration. The bore is very good with some light scattered spots of roughness. Crisp action. Original sights include a nickel silver blade front and a Winchester Express rear with 3 folding leaves that have platinum sight lines. The receiver also has most of the original blue with some edge wear and some light pitting on the upper corners. Turning a plum/brown on the bottom and top at the carry point of the frame. The hammer and lever have some case color remaining. The wood looks very good with most of the original varnish remaining. There are just a few minor handling mars. Complete with a Cody Factory Letter. This is a very fine example of a desirable Winchester Express rifle.
