SCARCE ANTIQUE WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 SRC IN 40-65 WCF

Description:
22 inch barrel carbine configuration chambered in 40-65 WCF caliber. Good shiny bore with good rifling and just a very few scattered light pits.Full length mag tube and carbine butt round out this case colored receiver Model 1886. Barrel and mag tube are a brown color with traces of blue showing through. Sights include a pinned blade front and a folding ladder rear. Receiver shows traces of color in protected area by the saddle ring with the balance a mottled gray/brown with hints of case color. Hammer and lever also retain traces of color. Crisp functioning action. Walnut stocks show signs of an old repair on close inspection that look fairly good and fit well with the usual usage and handling mars. A hard to find 1886 carbine made in 1894. .
