SPECIAL ORDER WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 DELUXE RIFLE IN 45-70 CALIBER

Description:
Special order 26 inch half octagon barrel chambered in the desirable 45-70 WCF caliber with a very good shiny bore. Sights include a German silver blade front with a graduated leaf folding rear and a Lyman folding tang. Barrel and 2/3 length magazine tube retain most thinning blue. Forend cap has traces of color. Casehardened receiver has fading colors on both sides. Hammer and lever have traces of case colors. Loading gate is a blue/gray. Crisp tight functioning action. Checkered XX fancy Walnut forearm and pistolgrip stock set with oil finish have an age darkened appearance with some handling mars and a shotgun butt with hard rubber buttplate. A very usable caliber on a special order Winchester that the original owner new exactly what they wanted in a rifle. This one was made in 1893 and comes with a factory Cody Firearms letter stating the configuration and date of manufacture.
