SPECIAL ORDER WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 RIFLE IN 45-90 WCF

Description:
26 inch round barrel chambered in the desirable 45-90 WCF caliber with a bright shiny bore. Sights include a replaced blade front and sporting rear with a previous rear sight dovetail that has been filled under the current rear sight. Barrel has thinning blue that has some dings and scratches and has worn to gray in areas. Special ordered half length magazine retains most blue. There are British proofs on the barrel, receiver, and bolt. Receiver has about 50% thinning blue with balance worn to gray. Hammer and lever have good traces of case colors. Very crisp tight action. Walnut stocks have scattered minor dings and scratches with a special order steel shotgun buttplate. Manufactured in 1904. Not a bad looking large caliber Winchester that was used and has good honest wear as well as being across the pond.
