Winchester 1886, 45-70, 32 inch 1/2 octagon, 1/2 round barrel, extensive case colors on receiver, forend cap, buttplate, lever and hammer, great looking gun for collection or shooter, The serial number places rifle at 1904 production, I ordered a factory letter from Cody, it does not letter, original rifle was a 40-65 with octagon barrel, I believe this is an older custom build with a Winchester receiver and barrel. I have no way of knowing who built the rifle, I sent rifle to Turnbull and had them rust blue barrel and mag tube to more authentic look. The rifle handles well and is beautiful to look at. I removed a tang sight from rifle, it was not correct as hammer spur would hit sight body and not allow bolt to open. There is a small ding from eye piece as it laid back against front of cheek piece. Let the pictures speak for themselves. Action dated to 1904, Ship to FFL only, cashiers check., money order or personal check. 12,500.00, 75.00 ship in hard case.MAKE OFFERS
