Winchester 1886 45-90 Rifle. Excellent . Antique!
Description: ***SOLD*** Very sharp looking big bore Winchester 1886 in the desirable 45-90 caliber. S/N 35918 made in 1889. 26" Octagon barrel with an excellent bore. Full length mag tube. Crescent buttplate. Excellent condition throughout with strong original finishes and quite vivid case colors remaining on the receiver walls. Nice, even bluing with no notable discoloration or browning. The wood finish shows some light handling marks, dings and scrapes but presents very well in hand. The original sights consist of a Winchester folding combination 5B up front and a Winchester sporting rear. As mentioned, the bore is excellent, bright and shiny throughout with strong rifling, and the mechanical functions are as crisp and strong as new. A really nice '86.
